Commodores prep for Arkansas
For the first time in a few years, Vanderbilt heads into a mid-season game with some meaning.
This time the last two seasons, the Commodores were 2-5 with a slew of games ahead in which they'd be underdogs-decidedly so, in a few cases.
This year, a 4-3 record with a number of potentially winnable games ahead, starting with Arkansas this Saturday, has fans and news media buzzing with talk that VU could make a bowl game.
But coach James Franklin and players have reiterated their concerned with only the game in front of them, and consistently have refused to take the bait when asked about bowl eligibility.
