NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- It's said that lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place, but Vanderbilt's Connor Harrell might disagree. This same weekend last season, the slumping Harrell had a pair of pinch-hit homers against Tennessee that launched a hot streak that lasted the remainder of the season. On Sunday, Harrell, who'd lost his starting job until getting it back last week, hit an eighth-inning grand slam that propelled the Commodores to a 6-1 victory over top-ranked Kentucky at Hawkins Field.
