Win over Auburn puts Vandy in great position

It wasn't pretty, but Vandy's victory over Auburn was certainly meaningful. The Commodores survived a 3-0 turnover deficit and hung on as Auburn moved the ball into VU territory, but the defense held and the Commodores earned a 17-13 victory that moved them into sole possession of fourth place in the Southeastern Conference's Eastern Division at 3-4 and 2-3 in the SEC.

"We found a way to win. Obviously, we didn't play clean, but I don't know how many times we've been able to win an SEC game and not play clean. I think that does show progress," coach James Franklin said on Monday
