Vandy disposes of Delta State, readies for season's start

VandySports.com With so many new faces, Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings knew this team would have growing pains. In their first exhibition game last Saturday, there was a lot more pain than growth. Tonight was the opposite.
With oft-injured center Josh Henderson getting a surprising 12 minutes of playing time, Stallings saw his team look more like a team. Leading a surprisingly athletic Delta State wire-to-wire, Vanderbilt finished preseason with a 2-0 record, winning 69-48.
VU opens the regular season this Saturday with a home game versus McNeese State.
