VandySports.com Defending national champion Kentucky invades Memorial Gymnasium on Thursday night; here's a scouting report of the 9-4 Wildcats.
Season overview The Wildcats lost all five starters, plus sixth man Darius Miller, after that bunch won the NCAA title last season. Four went in the first round, and two in the second, and all are now active on NBA rosters.
But coach John Calipari did what he did every year, which was to sign a banner recruiting class that included three five-star players and a four-star, plus add a pair of key transfers. As a result, the 'Cats were in the discussion for this year's national title picture as well.
