Week results and summariesFeb. 15: Beat Long Beach State, 10-4, in the season opener as Kevin Ziomek started slowly, but gave up just one run and struck out seven in six innings. Connor Harrell hit a two-run homer as part of an 11-hit attack.
Feb. 16: The Commodores were out-hit, 8-5, but won 12-2 thanks to four LBSU errors, 10 walks and four hit-by-pitches. Right-hander Tyler Beede was shaky early, but pitched out of jams and gave up just one run in five innings for the win.
