J'Covan Brown is on the move. While he is normally on the move on the court scoring at will on opponents, his most recent move was from Beaumont Kelly to Port Arthur Memorial. The move from the Beaumont private school to the Port Arthur public school was a decision made by his father.

Brown has earned the reputation as a pure combo guard the last two years playing on the spring and summer AAU circuit. He is being recruited by Arizona, Baylor, Florida, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU and Lamar.
