Top '09 quarterback loves Auburn visit
Auburn hosted several top recruits on official and unofficial visits last weekend for the Iron Bowl. The large contingent consisted mainly of senior prospects, but the Tigers also had a handful of top juniors on-hand including Mobile-St. Paul's QB AJ McCarron.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder, projected to be one of the nation's top quarterbacks in the 2009 class, took an unofficial visit to the Plains, his second game of the season inside Jordan-Hare.
"I had a blast. I really did," said McCarron. "I had a great time. My dad was there and he had a great time, too. My dad really likes it up there. He loves the atmosphere. He loves the college atmosphere the most, and he loves the coaching staff, too.
