Cox feels at home at MSU
James Cox is getting to know Highway 82 pretty well these days.
The three-star receiver made another 90 mile trek down it from Tuscaloosa to Mississippi State's camp and is starting to feel at home in Starkville.
"It's a great feeling every time I come out here," Cox said. "The coaches work you hard but it's all out of love. It's a real home feeling. They are just real hospitable and I feel real comfortable being here. I love all the coaches and it's just a great feeling."
Cox pulled double duty during Friday's large school 7-on-7 Bulldog Shootout. He helped lead Northridge High School to the tournament championship game and also worked out in individual position drills during the camp's lunch break.
"It's tiring but my team is out here busting their butts so I'm going to bust my butt for them," Cox said. "I came out here and the coaches wanted to work me out. It might be tiring but at the end of the day it's all to get better."
During that session Cox worked out with several other campers not involved in the 7-on-7 tournament. He was able to go through drills with MSU wide receivers coach Angelo Mirando and see what it was like to work under him.
