Vanderbilt jumped on Kentucky early with four touchdowns in five first-half possessions, as the Commodores blanked the Wildcats by a 40-0 score in Lexington.

Jordan Rodgers connected with Jordan Matthews and Chris Boyd on first-half touchdown passes, and Zac Stacy and Wesley Tate added first-half touchdown runs, as the Commodores led 27-0 at the break and never looked back.

Rodgers (18-of-29, 220 yards, two TDs, one interception) hit Matthews with a 34-yard score on the game's first drive, and Boyd with a 30-yarder with 3:38 left in the half.

Stacy's 2-yard run came with 38 seconds left before the break, and removed any reasonable chance the 1-9 Wildcats had of a comeback.

Brian Kimbrow dashed 33 yards for a score on the first drive of the second half, and Carey Spear added 48- and 40-yard field goals in the fourth quarter.

It was the Commodores' first shutout in the Southeastern Conference since 1968, and their second shutout this season. The 5-4 Commodores are now a game above .500 for the first time all season.

Vandy rolled up 447 yards of offense to UK's 268. The Commodores will travel to Ole Miss next weekend.
