NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Vanderbilt's run to the quarterfinals of the Southeastern Conference Tournament ended, as Ole Miss defeated the Commodores by a 64-52 score on Saturday afternoon in the Bridgestone Arena.
VU led for most of the first half, but a late Ole Miss run tied the score at 26 by the break. From there, the Rebels steadily pulled away as the Commodores simply couldn't make shots.
Vandy hit just 33.9 percent from the field on the evening, and the 3-ball, which had carried VU so often this season, fell just six times on 30 tries (20 percent).
Kedren Johnson had 12 points for Vanderbilt, while Ole Miss's Marshall Henderson had a game-high 23.
The Rebels advance to face Florida in the title game, while Vanderbilt's season ends at 16-17.
