Hamilton Bursting on the Scene

Every year a junior comes along in the state of Oklahoma from seemingly nowhere to make his name as well known as many of his contemporaries that have been discussed for several years. In the class of 2012 no player is rising to the occasion more than Beggs, Okla. quarterback Ramsey Hamilton. The 6-foot-3, 187-pound signal caller may have been relatively unknown in recruiting circles but one program has long been familiar with him.

Hamilton is the younger brother of former Sooner walk-on wide receiver T.J. Hamilton and has had a close relationship with the Sooner program due in large part to his brother's time in Norman. Not surprisingly he has developed quite a fondness of the program as well as just a lot of information about what is going on with Norman due to a friendship he struck up with current Sooner star receiver Ryan Broyles several years ago.

"He texts me before all my games and he says 'you're the quarterback, just lead your team and stay positive on the field and just keep your head up'," Hamilton recalls. "He told me to just trust your receivers, it's hard to trust your receivers sometimes in high school but I trust in all of mine."
