Hoops: Kameron Chatman feels like a Michigan priority

Michigan's 2014 recruiting class currently consists of only one player, but that will change in the next several weeks. Long Beach (Calif.) Poly small forward Kameron Chatman (6-6, 175,'s No. 39 junior prospect nationally) is one getting a long look from the Michigan coaching staff … a very long look.

Chatman recently made analyst Eric Bossi's list of "five to see" after two outstanding spring weekends on the AAU circuit. He averaged 18.7 points per game at EYBL Hampton last weekend, where Michigan coaches paid close attention to him.

"His travel squad, ICP Elite, has struggled some during the first two weekends of the EYBL, going 2-7," Bossi reports. "However, after missing pretty much his entire junior season due to transfer rules, Chapman is putting up impressive numbers. He's averaging 16.3 points and 11.4 rebounds against top competition. For a kid coming off of a long layoff that's solid work, and he's high on the list of guys we are eager to see."
