Arkansas' D.J. Williams was a unanimous pick for the first team tight end.
A SEC All-Freshman pick in 2008, Barden has caught 91 passes for 981 yards and eight touchdowns during the last three years for the Commodores.
Hayward, a native of Elko, Georgia, was one of the league's most productive defensive backs throughout the season. The junior corner finished second in the league with six interceptions and atop the league with 11 pass breakups. He is one of only 10 players nationally to pick off at least six passes this season. He is currently second in the nation for most passes defended with 17 overall.
Hayward posted a rare Vanderbilt streak of picking off a pass in four straight games against LSU, Ole Miss, Connecticut and Eastern Michigan. Hayward also racked up 58 solo tackles for the Commodore defense, including two for a loss.
He was joined on the second team by South Carolina's Stephon Gilmore, LSU's Morris Claiborne and Tennessee's Preston Waggner. LSU's Patrick Peterson and Florida's Janoris Jenkins were selected to the first team. Only Peterson received a unanimous amount of votes.
A two-year starter, Hayward has registered 138 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, eight interceptions, 21 pass breakups and two forced fumbles during his three years in Nashville.
Auburn quarterback Cam Newton was recognized as the SEC Player of the Year while defensive tackle teammate Nick Fairley was tabbed league's Defensive Player of the Year. Second-year Tiger head coach Gene Chizik was also named the SEC Coach of the Year. South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore was named the league's Freshman of the Year.
