Postseason Mid-State Top 15
In June, VandySports.com released its initial Top 15 ranking of middle Tennessee's top high school senior prospects.
Today, the site releases its updated ranking following the 2012 season.

The top three prospects in the region stayed the same as Brentwood Academy's Jalen Ramsey solidified his status as a national five-star prospect. Ensworth's Corn Elder turned in yet another Mr. Football worthy season on his way to leading the Tigers to a third straight state championship. Clarksville Northeast's Jalen Reeves-Maybin had another strong year on both offense and defense and climbed to a four-star prospect.
The biggest jump in the postseason rankings was made by Siegel quarterback Brent Stockstill. The top player in Rutherford County this season, Stockstill led the Stars to the Class 6A semifinals by passing for 2,690 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also rushed for nearly 700 yards and 10 more scores.
Also making jumps were Shelbyville Central athlete Marquis Morton and Pearl-Cohn offensive lineman Darius Hooten. Morton, currently a MTSU commitment, enjoyed another strong season for the Golden Eagles and has begun to attract several BCS programs with his play. Hooten, a large 6-foot-7, 320-pound blocker has become a popular name for many programs in the ACC, Big East and SEC this fall.
73 prospects from the region have signed with FBS programs over the last four recruiting periods, and close to 20 prospects in the 2013 class either have offers from FBS programs or will be candidates for offers in January.
The Mid-State Top 15 rankings are based upon in-person evaluations by VandySports.com during the high school season and summer camp period. Highlight videos are also used in the evaluation process.
