Vanderbilt adds Georgia OL

Vanderbilt notched its 12th verbal commitment of the Friday when Snellville (Ga.) offensive lineman Darion DeBrossard pledged to the Commodores.
The 6-foot-4, 323-pound prospect received an offer from Vanderbilt earlier in the week after catching the eye of the VU staff over the summer.

It is 100% Official @thatkid_darion has committed to Vanderbilt University!! Darion DeBrossard will be a Commodore in 2015! Anchor Down!— Kimberlyn DeBrossard (@Kim_isgood2go) November 21, 2014
DeBrossard made the trip to Vanderbilt a few weeks ago to see the Commodores defeat Old Dominion, and his in-person visit impressed the Commodore staff. Vanderbilt had begun to evaluate the big lineman during his senior season at Shiloh High in which he became one of the Gwinnett areas top performers in the trenches.
"I talk to coach Lightner quite a bit, and he is a really good coach. I actually knew of him before he got to Vanderbilt when he was at Ohio University. I think he's a great offensive line coach. He told me what they want in an offensive lineman at Vanderbilt and what they run on offense," DeBrossard told VandySports.com earlier in the week.
A raw prospect that only began to focus on football in the summer, DeBrossard excelled at Mississippi State's camp and the NIKE Training Camp in Birmingham with his strength and surprising mobility.
Considered a tweener for a guard and tackle, Vanderbilt plans to start him off at the right tackle position when he arrives next year.
DeBrossard committed to Vanderbilt after receiving offers from programs like Georgia State, Furman, Brown, Penn, Alcorn State, North Carolina A&T and others. He also received interest from the likes of North Carolina State, Mississippi State, Louisville and Minnesota.
