The Norcross (Ga.) product became a priority for the Vanderbilt coaching staff back in October after head coach Derek Mason watched his performance against rival North Gwinnett in person.
Since then, the Commodores have been a fixture throughout Pinkney's recruiting process.
After official visits to UCF and Nebraska, Vanderbilt got their turn this past weekend. The visit gave him a chance to further his bond with the familiar faces on the coaching staff and establish a relationship with the new faces on the staff as well.
Pinkney also got the chance to hang out and further friendships with all the Commodore commitments, who were also on their official visits this past weekend.
At 6-foot-4, 220-pounds, the Commodores see the playmaking pass-catcher as a wide receiver/tight end hybrid in their offense, which will now be run by new offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig.
Pinkney finished his senior season with over 800 yards receiving and five touchdowns in helping lead Norcross to a 7-4 record and a trip to the state playoffs.
The Florida Gators were the latest school to offer Pinkney and he is still scheduled to take an official visit to Gainesville this upcoming weekend.
