Vanderbilt continues to look for speed in the back end of the defense, and the Commodores recently offered Florida corner Cameron Keys. The Sunshine state corner has a good relationship with Vanderbilt corners coach Dan Jackson.
“I’m planning on visiting Vanderbilt sometime in March so I can see the campus, facility, and everything, but I can tell you that I like the defensive backs coach Dan Jackson,” said Keys.
“Coach Jackson is just a cool man. He keeps it real and treats me like a friend more than a player. It’s always a vibe when we talk, and I can tell that he will make me better as a player and a person and lead in the right direction to a successful life. Coach Jackson likes my speed and my press man work.”
In addition to Vanderbilt, Keys holds offers from Missouri, Boston College, West Virginia, South Florida, Jackson State, and others. Keys likes the idea of playing in the SEC.
“It’s a dream come true to possibly play in the SEC. It’s where the best competition is, and I think it will bring the best out of me,” said Keys.
The 6-foot and 160-pound corner talks about what schools are recruiting him the most and visit plans for this spring.
“I’m hearing most from Vanderbilt, Missouri, Florida, South Florida, and Duke. As of right now, I should be going to Vandy, Boston College, Missouri and South Florida this spring,” said Keys.
“The factors that will play into my college decision is a good education, great loving environment, and strong bonds between one another.”
