A couple of weeks after visiting Vanderbilt, Wynnewood (Okla.) running back Caden Knighten announced his commitment to the Commodores, their first verbal pledge of the 2025 class.
New Vanderbilt running backs coach Jayden Everett was influential in the recruiting process of the sophomore talent, who was on West End for a visit in late March.
During his sophomore campaign, Knighten served as the primary quarterback for his team while running for 2,278 yards and 35 touchdowns while averaging 10.8 yards per carry.
Knighten chose Vanderbilt over the likes of Southern Cal, Michigan State, Colorado, Houston, Middle Tennessee State, UNLV, North Texas, and SMU.
