After a weekend official with Vanderbilt, Union (Okla.) defensive tackle De'Marion Thomas announced his verbal pledge to the Commodores on Monday evening.

Thomas, rated a 5.7, three-star prospect by Rivals.com, chose Vandy over the likes of Texas Tech, Kansas, Baylor, Arkansas, Iowa State, Memphis, and Tulsa.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 324-pounds on his Hudl profile, Thomas has the ideal size of a future SEC nose guard that can be a run-stopper that possesses quickness off the line and violent hands to break free from blockers.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma native becomes the seventh commitment in the Commodores' 2023 class and the first defensive line pledge.
