Bostic anchors down

The Vanderbilt Commodores have received their 11th verbal commitment of the 2017 class in Cardinal Gibbons (Fla.) wide receiver James Bostic.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect was on an unofficial visit to West End over the weekend with his high school teammate and longtime Vanderbilt commit Randall Haynie.

The Commodores offered Bostic back in June after evaluating him at the Palm Beach Bash satellite camp in Jupiter, Florida. A camp that Vanderbilt wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton was a part of.

"He's a great coach. He taught me a few things here and there at the camp. He's a real cool guy and I just talk to him like he's family," Bostic told VandySports.com about Hankton back in June after being offered.

With Bostic now in the fold, the Commodores now have a much-needed offensive threat to add to the passing game.
