Coming this Saturday, Vanderbilt fans will now have their own, independent radio show dedicated to their favorite team! Show host Chip Hoback and I are launching Allstate Saturday Sports Mayhem from 9-11 a.m. on Nashville's 102.5 The Game ESPN Radio. The first hour will be exclusively Vanderbilt.
While we plan to offer the same quality product we produce at VandySports.com, the content on the radio show will be quite different. Our show will primarily consist of interviews with many of the Commodore athletes and coaches that you've loved, both current and past.

Our first show on this Saturday morning will feature live interviews with VU athletic director David Williams, former football All-Americans Jim Arnold and D.J. Moore, ex-basketball stars Charles Davis and Steve Tchiengang, former Vandy pitcher Jensen Lewis, and the voice of the Commodores, Joe Fisher.
"We have heard from so many Vanderbilt fans that they wanted a show that talked only about Vanderbilt and covered all sports," said executive producer and co-host Chip Hoback. "It has taken us the good part of a year to put this show together and are proud to have it ready to go prior to football season."
You may recognize Hoback's voice. He was Vanderbilt's public address announcer for football and basketball for almost nine years and did television play-by-play for the 'Dores back in the Eddie Fogler basketball era.
Archived broadcasts will be available for free each week at VandySports.com soon after each show's completion.
The 10-to-11 portion of the show is broader in scope with interviews with sports figures from across the South.
First-week guests on that hour include former VU linebacker Jonathan Goff; former South Carolina Quarterback Todd Ellis, who is now part of the Carolina football broadcast crew and host of the Steve Spurrier television show; former Alabama football stars Brian Burgdorf and Chris Anderson from the 1992 National Championship team; ex-Kentucky basketball star Jack "Goose" Givens; the Louisville Courier-Journal's Rick Bozich and former Notre Dame and NFL Great Ross Browner.
