Vandy handles South Carolina on the road

Vanderbilt shot 57 percent from the field and hit 13 3-pointers, as the Commodores improved to 2-0 in the Southeastern Conference with a 67-57 win at South Carolina on Tuesday night.
Brad Tinsley scored 13 points and dished out nine assists, as VU won its sixth game in a row.

The Commodores led 22-12 at the half, and were up 67-43 with 3:49 to play before Carolina scored the game's last 14 points with VU reserves on the floor.
Tinsley and Jeffery Taylor each went 3-of-4 behind the 3-point arc, and John Jenkins was 4-of-8. Jenkins scored 14, Taylor had 11, and Steve Tchiengang added 10.
Carolina's Bruce Ellington had a game-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
VU returns home to face Georgia on Saturday.
