Vols top Vandy in Knoxville

Vanderbilt missed a chance to clinch the two-seed in the Southeastern Conference Tournament, falling 68-61 to Tennessee in the Volunteers' Senior Day in Knoxville on Saturday.
VU shot 43 percent from the field, was out-rebounded 40-30 and hit just 8-of-16 foul shots on the day.

Four Vols hit double-figures in scoring, led by senior Cameron Tatum, who had 18. Vandy's John Jenkins tied Tatum for game-high in scoring.
The Commodores trailed 30-29 at half, and led just briefly at 33-32 in the second half. UT maintained that lead throughout the rest of the game; VU pulled to within 60-56 with 2:31 left on a Jeffery Taylor 3, but couldn't get closer.
VU will get a first-round bye in next week's SEC Tournament, but will await the completion of tomorrow's Florida-Kentucky game in Gainesville before it knows its seed.
